She thought she was doing a chokehold on a student.🙃
But good idea, let’s put more SROs in schools. pic.twitter.com/50nMuJVNlb
Who is Nia King?
Nia King has completed her bachelor's in science from the Xavier University of Louisiana. She has worked as a virtual intern with Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas. King also owned a business, namely NK Leasing LLC, at Ellenwood. Currently, she is the substitute teacher at Henry county School, as per LinkedIn.
She said about the incident, "As I was back in the middle of the fight, the SRO just grabs me by the neck, and the fight is still continuing to go on, and she dragged me all the way from the middle of the hall towards her office." King then added, "She asked me, do I need EMS, do I need the nurse, and do I need some water. I just told her I just need you to leave because you drug [sic] me from that point to this point, and I couldn't breathe, but you wouldn't talk. She stepped out, and then she came back in and told me, "Oh, I was trying to save you. I was trying to save you because they say you got hit," as per Yahoo!.
Similar incident
It is not the first time a teacher is getting attacked on school premises. In a shocking incident from Pembroke Pines, Florida, an elementary school teacher was found unconscious and injured after a 5-year-old student attacked her in the classroom. It is believed that the youngster was joined by a few of her classmates, all aged between 4 and 5 years, in punching, kicking, and throwing objects at the teacher. According to police reports, the teacher started coughing badly with dry heaving after the attack and soon fell unconscious. She was also sitting on the ground feeling "weak and dazed". By the time paramedics arrived at the school, they found her unresponsive, as previously reported by MEAWW.
'What a sad country to live in'
The internet was outraged by the incident at the Georgia school. A user said, "I think I'd also be filing charges against the SRO and a civil suit against the school system." Another added, "Call the cops! That's assault." Another noted, "Officer should be charged with Assault."
"WTF???? So EVIL!!!" wrote another. A comment read, "What a sad country to live in." Another wrote, "Drug her down the hall in a chokehold……law suit and charges please!." "She should sue the sh** out of her for assault," added a user.
