Natasha Lyonne and Fred Armisen were a thing for quite some time, eight years to be precise. They were first linked in 2014, after being spotted kissing at the Netflix post-Emmys party at the Chateau Marmont. Lyonne later added that she met Armisen through Maya Rudolph and gave him a signed copy of 'Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk' by Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the release of 'Russian Doll' Season 2, Lyonne touched upon various things, including how the upcoming season differs from the previous one, growing up working in Hollywood, roles that she found difficult to part ways with, and her bond with stars such as Maya Rudolph and Chloe Sevigny. She also disclosed that she had ended her relationship with Fred Armisen, confirming rumors that began around September 2021, when she was seen holding hands with a mystery man.

Lyonne, in the story, revealed that they broke up because she "wanted a swimming pool." "It might seem like a mundane reason for a breakup, but during that pandemic, you've got to get your laps. So, I got myself a house with a pool out in Los Angeles," she said. Lyonne added that they "love each other just about as much as two people can love each other" and that they are "still talking all the time". "We love each other just about as much as two people can love each other and we’re still talking all the time, but Freddy doesn’t like a swimming pool," the actress said.

Season 2 of 'Russian Doll' is slated to release exclusively on Netflix on April 20, 2022. In case you missed it, here's the official synopsis, "Set four years after Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) and Alan (Charlie Barnett) escaped mortality’s time loop together, season two of Russian Doll will continue to explore existential thematics through an often humorous and sci-fi lens. Discovering a fate even worse than endless death, this season finds Nadia and Alan delving deeper into their pasts through an unexpected time portal located in one of Manhattan’s most notorious locations. At first, they experience this as an ever-expanding, era-spanning, intergenerational adventure but they soon discover this extraordinary event might be more than they bargained for and, together, must search for a way out."
