'Mrs Serial Killer': The Netflix movie is so bad viewers are loving to hate-watch it

The redundant movie hasn't gotten many takers on Twitter

Spoilers for Netflix's 'Mrs Serial Killer'

When Sona (Jacqueline Fernandez) finds out her husband Dr Joy (Manoj Bajpayee) has been arrested for killing women, she is ready to do anything to help prove his innocence. She also goes to the lengths of abducting a young girl to mimic the murders to prove that the killer is still out there.

At first, Inspector Imran (Mohit Raina) seems suspicious. But even that angle is no longer relevant when he is beaten up by a mob for falsely accusing the town's respectable doctor.

All of Sona's attempts are in vain because as it turns out — following one ridiculous twist after the other — her husband is indeed the killer. For Joy, unmarried women getting pregnant are "whores" who must be killed along with their fetuses.

The redundant movie hasn't gotten many takers on Twitter and viewers are finding it pretty ridiculous.

"Just finished #MrsSerialKiller this time @NetflixIndia disappointed. the #MrsSerialKiller very short & no storyline the start of MrsSerialKiller not proper," tweeted a viewer. "#MrsSerialKiller will bore you to death," added another.

Viewers are so disappointed with the movie that barely tries to add to the Bollywood thriller genre of Netflix — urging the makers to never attempt the same again. "Please stop making tv series out of nothingness. Worst acting and content. As a constant Netflix binge-watcher I am really dissatisfied. Also stop taking actors who don't know how to act."

Actors like Bajpayee and Raina who are known for their acting chops are also receiving flak for participating in the thriller. "#MrsSerialKiller just launched on @NetflixIndia defies the thriller genre to enter the comical genre with great skill. How could it be launched on a platform like #Netflix Waste of talent of @mohituraina and @BajpayeeManoj Others don’t deserve a mention. Waste of time."

So much so that many are love to 'hate-watch' the movie. "It is so bad, comical & predictable that you guys HAVE TO SEE IT! I can't believe I trusted a film that had #JacquelineFernandez's face on it! #ManojBajpayee's film choices are weird. The worst best part — chloroform sequence, and acting is mashallah too!" tweeted a viewer.

"Trusting a film on Jacqueline face is the biggest sin u must have ever committed b4 watching a film, can't wait to see mashallah acting now," added another.

Directed and produced by Shirish Kunder and produced by his wife Farah Khan, the family project is not impressing anyone. If anything, the couple is being called out for playing on the viewers' intelligence by roping them in for a whodunnit but delivering a crass product. "@ShirishKunder @TheFarahKhan With all due respect to your hard work. Mrs Serial Killer is a bad bad film and anyone praising it on your face is telling a big lie. They are probably bitching behind. It is bad executed script which had a tremendous talent like #manojbajpayee."

'Mrs Serial Killer' is currently streaming on Netflix.
