Netflix expands its international catalog with the Turkish movie 'Grudge' that revolves around a massive conspiracy against police officer Harun

With the thought of taking the service to almost every country, Netflix is adding another project to its international catalog.

Titled ‘Grudge’ (‘Kin’), the upcoming Turkish movie revolves around a police officer named Harun (Yilmaz Erdogan), who has just received the biggest award in his profession. He and his team make a plan to celebrate the win. However, everything takes a bizarre turn when a killer taxi driver attacks Harun on his way home. It turns out that the taxi driver gets murdered and the only suspect is Harun. Will he be able to solve the case before the police do? The answer to that burning question will be given when the movie release on Netflix.

Release date and how to watch

The Turkish movie will be premiering exclusively on Netflix on Friday, October 8. According to the Netflix press site, the film will be available for streaming at 3:01 am EST. Viewers can subscribe to Netflix by downloading the app from Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. The streaming platform is also available on various other devices such as Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Samsung Smart TVs, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Plot

"After receiving the biggest award in his profession, Chief Inspector Harun (Yilmaz Erdogan) goes out to celebrate with his team. He looks forward to a possible promotion after the award, but things are complicated when he kills a taxi driver who attacks him on his way home. The next morning, the police begin investigating the murder that he knows he committed, and he's put on the case. Harun ends up in a game of cat and mouse with himself, though every clue he unwraps about the taxi driver drives him deeper into the conspiracy."

Cast

The film stars Yilmaz Erdogan in the lead role and he will be portraying the role of Chief Inspector Harun. He is joined by Cem Yigit Uzümoglu as a younger officer, who suspects him of the crime. Duygu Sarasin stars as a mysterious woman who seems to know more than she lets on. ‘Grudge’ also stars Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan, Ruzgar Aksoy, and Metehan Parilti in mysterious roles.



 

Creators

The movie is being helmed by popular Turkish director Turkan Derya, known for his work directing a lot of Turkish television shows. Renowned Turkish producer Necati Akpinar is producing the movie.

Trailer

The trailer gives us an idea that the movie is going to be heavy and viewers would have to be invested in it so that they don’t miss any clue. The entire premise is very clear that a conspiracy is being carried against Chief Inspector Harun and as soon as he dives deeper into the investigation, he gets to know the magnitude of the problem.
