'Over the moon': Colin Kaepernick and Nessa Diab welcome FIRST BABY in adorable Insta photo
The arrival of Nessa Diab and Colin Kaepernick's first baby was unexpectedly announced by the 41-year-old MTV host in an Instagram post on Sunday, August 28. Along with a photo of herself, her 34-year-old boyfriend Kaepernick, and their child lying in a hospital bed, she wrote, "I thought long and hard about sharing our life-changing news today. I decided to do so because today is the first day in a few weeks where I stepped out for work with a new life title - MOM!"
"Colin and I welcomed our amazing baby to the world a few weeks ago, and we are over the moon with our growing family," she said. "Recovering after delivery has been a journey (more on that later) and honestly I wasn't going to share anything because this is sooooo personal to us and I realized I'm a complete mama bear! Colin is the most amazing dad and I’m soooo grateful that he is by our side for every moment of this journey."

She further added, "I know sharing this allows me to connect with you in different ways that I never imagined. My conversations and life experiences have already changed. And my world has gotten that much bigger thanks to our sweet little baby, who has shown me how to love in ways I never knew." After thanking everybody for their support, Diab signed off the message using the surname of her partner, saying, "Love, The Kaepernicks." Diab and the ex-NFL player took precautions to cover the baby's face in the photo and kept the gender of the infant a secret.
Her fans and friends flooded the post's comment section to congratulate the pair. "Congratulations!!!! Love you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️", wrote Mariah Carey. Gizelle Bryant commented, "Yesssss! Congratulations 🎉🎊." Wanda Skyes showed her love by posting three red heart emojis in the comments.
The baby came amidst Kaepernick indicating his desire to play in the NFL again this season. During an interview with 'I Am Athlete' in April, Kaepernick discussed his desire to participate in the NFL again alongside his old teammates Chad Johnson, Adam "Pacman" Jones, and Brandon Marshall. When Marshall questioned Kaepernick about playing for the league in a lower position, Kaepernick stated that he was open to doing so and that he would then prepare to make his way to a better spot in the squad.
"I know I have to find my way back in. So if I have to come in as a backup, that's fine. But that's not where I'm staying. And when I prove that I'm a starter, I want to be able to step on the field as such. I just need that opportunity to walk through the door," said Kaepernick.
