Air date
‘NBC’s New Year’s Eve 2020’ will air live from the heart of Times Square on Dec 31 from 10 to 11 pm.
Host
Carson Daly is returning to host the television special this year. While ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ DJ Stephen "tWitch" boss will be co-hosting the event with Daly, Hough will be joining them as a correspondent.
Special Performances
‘NBC’s New Year’s Eve 2020’ will feature performances from X Ambassadors, Brett Eldredge, Julianne Hough, NE-YO, Leslie Odom Jr, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and The Struts.
What else to expect?
To turn the evening more special, Keith Urban will be joining the live telecast from Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville, which will simultaneously take place near the Tennessee State Capitol at Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. The event will also include a show-stopping performance by Keith himself.
Ahead of the grand event, the network will telecast New Year’s Eve primetime special ‘A Toast to 2019’ from 8 to 10 pm, highlighting 2019’s biggest pop culture moments and trends. The one-hour-long special will be hosted by Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager featuring an all-star cast of celebrities, including Kristen Bell, Martin Short, Maya Rudolph and others.
