'Paradise' Season 2 Episode 6, titled 'Jane,' featured major revelations as it aired on Hulu on Monday. With only two more episodes left before the season wraps up, things get heated above and below the surface. The outside and inside worlds are threatening to collide as people on both sides resort to drastic measures to survive. As suggested by the title, the episode delves into the history of secret service agent Jane Driscoll. Also, Xavier makes a breakthrough in his search for Teri, while Link's militia group takes one step closer to their mission of entering the bunker.

The episode opens on May 29, 1997, when a man named Don receives warning messages about a killer baby being born on June 5 at 12:01 a.m. He is instructed to alert the mother, but fails, and the baby turns out to be Jane. We see flashes of Jane's troubled childhood with her abusive mother, which leads her to develop severe mental health issues and partly explains her disturbing behavior inside the bunker. Other flashbacks show her time at the CIA training facility, where she mutilates the sexist instructor Radner, who was favored for promotion over her kind mentor, Stacy Thomas.

In the Season 2 premiere, Link and other survivors wanted to find the bunker so that they could stop Alex. The question of who or what Alex represents is still a lingering mystery, but episode 6 offers more pieces of the puzzle. Torabi discovers a voice recording of Samantha mentioning Alex to her, leaving her deeply unsettled. "I've done something terrible. I crossed the line no person should cross, but Alex is our only chance. I'm afraid of the person I'm becoming, Gabby. I'm afraid of the person I'm going to have to be in order to save them," Samantha is heard saying.

Meanwhile, Samantha discovers Link's militia crew waiting outside the bunker and sends Jane to negotiate the terms before she meets them. Not expecting the violent group to listen to her, Jane takes one of the men hostage to force Link's cooperation. The two hash out the terms of the meeting, which include Link showing up with five unarmed men and getting to taste the bunker's delicious apple pie. With that, Jane heads back to the bunker to inform Samantha that it is safe for her to meet Link.

Elsewhere in the underground prison, Jeremy learns from Anders, the bunker's architect, that cutting off the oxygen supply would help them enter the bunker. The secret service agent Nicole Robinson, who is framed for murder and sent to prison, helps the duo open a manhole that leads to an emergency control room from where they can disconnect the bunker's oxygen. Furthermore, Xavier's search for his wife, Teri, finally ends in episode 6 of 'Paradise' Season 2. In the last episode, Gary lied to Xavier that his wife was kidnapped by the survivors. So, he plans to rescue Teri by setting off a homemade explosive on the survivors' train in such a way that it doesn't kill anyone but creates enough of a distraction for him to find his wife. His plan hinges on Gary detonating the bomb at the right time, but Gary sabotages his plan intentionally.

Unbeknownst to Xavier, Gary is in love with Teri and doesn't want her to reunite with her husband. He survives the explosion, but the blast knocks him to the ground. However, just when it seems like his plan has failed, his eyes fall on Teri, who is surrounded by members of the militia. The two lock eyes for the first time in three years, but viewers will have to wait until next week for their emotional reunion. The show has already been renewed for Season 3.
