NBA Finals: Joyner Lucas trolled for halftime set, blamed for Celtics loss
Joyner Lucas was called for a halftime performance during the NBA Finals that went down between Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics. The former lifted the trophy once again becoming the NBA champions topping the 103-90 on Thursday night, June 16. This was Golden State Warriors’ fourth title in the last eight seasons.
Speaking of Joyner Lucas, the 33-year-old rapper got crucified on Twitter as many joked that the Celtics lost the game since they called the Massachusetts native for a performance. Many others said that the Celtics set themselves up after Lucas landed at the court for his set. The ‘ADHD’ hitmaker quickly secured one of the top spots on Twitter as the fans watched the Golden State Warriors lifting the trophy.

Joyner Lucas belted out his hit single ‘I am Not a Racist’ for his halftime set for the NBA Finals. He later took to Instagram to share a video where he can be seen sitting at the courtside and joking that he hates Warriors’ Stephen Curry while showing the NBA champion in the eight-second clip. He captioned the post as, “I hate this (N-word)” adding a red angry face emoticon at the end.
Stephen Curry scored an impressive 34 points. He was named the NBA Finals MVP as his team lifted the franchise’s seventh championship overall. For the unversed, this is the fourth championship for Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala. The first three rings came in 2015, 2017, and 2018, when Golden State made five consecutive trips to the finals.
