'My hair stood up'
"Yooo," MGK captioned in his Instagram story, followed by a head-explosion emoji. "I got electrocuted and my hair stood up." In the clip, MGK jumps up and briefly pulls the microphone from his face as he steps backward. Just then, blasts of smoke from air cannons go off along the sides of the walkway into the audience that he is performing on. That's when his feathery blond hair suddenly shoots up in the air, after previously lying limp in a shaggy hairdo.
It's not known what exactly caused MGK's hair to stand up, but he didn't let it bother him. The singer didn't let it faze him for the duration of the concert, even spinning his microphone and shaking his hair up and down while wearing a crop top and silver pants. He then ran back to the main stage to continue his performance while approaching fans in another area of the arena. TMZ reports that the pop-punk icon was on stage for nearly two hours.
Megan Fox's tribute to MGK after his Grammy loss
Last week, MGK's fiancee, Megan Fox shared a tribute in a now-deleted Instagram post just before the Grammy Awards, where he lost the Best Rock Album award to Ozzy Osbourne. "Congratulations on being in the very small percentage of artists who have received a Grammy nomination," Fox gushed. "You have handled this process with a grace and maturity that I haven’t seen from you before and I’m so proud of you. Watching you walk in humility and gratitude, watching you grow into yourself and become a better man is an immeasurably more satisfying experience than watching you accept an award. Although those will come… and this is irrelevant I guess but I will just never ever get over how beautiful your face is. I hope one day you’ll see yourself the way I see you. I love you and I’ll keep this memory of you forever."
