'My 600-Lb Life': Ashley labeled 'lazy mom' for her elaborate makeup routine, viewers question her priorities
In today's episode (March 4) of 'My 600-lb Life', Ashley Bernard appeared to make sure that her life turns around for good. She is mother to two young girls and she knew she had to lose some weight if she wanted to be there for her children and watch them grow. At the same time, Ashley was not happy that her older daughter had to do a lot around the house because she was unable to move around and take care of her younger daughter who is all of nine months.
To make sure that she takes the first step to her weight loss goal, Ashley decided to meet Dr Younan Nowzaradan and ask him for advice. While the viewers were thrilled that Ashley was taking her first step toward changing her life, some viewers were not pleased with the time and effort she took to do her makeup.
Before leaving the house, Ashley spent time putting on makeup and selecting the perfect dress for her day out. Fans were left surprised and questioned her for not putting the same effort in taking care of her children or walking around the house a bit. Many of them assumed that Ashley was being lazy and was not as motivated to lose the weight as she was about her taking care of her facial appearance.
Fans were annoyed that she did not have her priorities right. "If you put the same amount of effort in losing weight that you put into makeup and nails, maybe you wouldn't be over 600ls," a miffed viewer wrote.
Another added, "Her nails laid. She using Crayon Case makeup. She’s just lazy." Another echoed similar thoughts and wrote, "If you can put lashes and makeup on and get your nails done then you can try taking care of that baby."
These comments are coming since Ashley has often expressed her inability to take care of her daughter because of her weight.
Her absence means her older daughter has to step up to take care of her sister while her family also shoulders some of the responsibilities for Ashley. Fans are convinced that she should put the same amount of energy as she does for the things she loves but the question is, will Ashley continue to have that drive?
'My 600-lb Life' airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
