MrBeast, a popular YouTube video creator, recently came under fire for purchasing an entire neighborhood for his employees. After facing backlash, the world's richest YouTuber reacted to the flak through a tweet. The neighborhood in question is located in Greenville, North Carolina's southeastern suburbs.

The reason behind the move is for a sizable portion of MrBeast's employees to live nearby if they desire. MrBeast's fame on YouTube has skyrocketed since his Squid Game video and he has utilized the money acquired through the channel to make a positive change in the lives of others, however, not everyone is a fan of the generous streamer.

MrBeast responds to flak

After people got the news that MrBeast bought an entire neighborhood for his staff, they started reacting to it. "What a nice man," one Twitter user said, adding, "Surely a CEO buying homes and creating neighborhoods for their employee's families has no historical relevance or background at all."

MrBeast responded to the tweet and said, “Only I could get canceled for giving people a place to live with no strings attached.. All these company town tweets make no sense, I was just helping some people.”

Despite the great offer, numerous people have expressed their dissatisfaction on social media, claiming that it sounds too much like a cult.
