GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA: A hilarious selfie featuring Jimmy "MrBeast" alongside an individual bearing a striking resemblance to Elon Musk took the internet by storm.

MrBeast shared this amusing snapshot on his official X page, under the impression that he was about to capture a moment with the SpaceX tycoon. Much to his chagrin, he found himself posing for a photo with an unfamiliar person who uncannily resembled the billionaire.

This photograph made its debut on September 13, courtesy of MrBeast, whose Twitter following exceeds an impressive 23 million fans.

Elon Musk’s lookalike

The caption of the picture read, “I thought this guy was Elon Musk but as I got closer I realized he wasn’t but I was in too deep on the picture to back out.”

Despite MrBeast's entertaining mix-up, he and Elon Musk share a well-documented online friendship. The two have engaged in numerous discussions on the platform in the past.

During one of their light-hearted tweet exchanges, when the YouTuber jokingly inquired whether he could step in as CEO, the jest rapidly gained widespread attention, going viral.

Jimmy has been no stranger to media attention even before this month. Notably, he participated in the Sidemen Charity Match 2023 on September 9.

Although Jimmy didn't play a major role in the match, he managed to grab attention when he was taken down by a tackle from fellow YouTuber Darren "IShowSpeed."
