GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA: The YouTuber and philanthropist MrBeast is known for his flamboyant and altruistic antics that he portrays in his content. In a few years, he has attracted much attention through his videos that often showcase difficult trials, selfless deeds, and impressive exploits.

Recently, MrBeast collaborated with fellow content creator James Seo, known for giving random people mystery gifts. But the collaboration video seems to have left people feeling bad for a pair of children who believed they would win a significant gift from MrBeast.

'$1 or mystery gift'

In the video, it's seen that when MrBeast and Seo invited two children to a store to pick between a "$1 or mystery gift," saying that the latter option might have "amazing prizes like cash and cars." And the children were delighted to choose the option of getting a gift. After tearing open the huge box, they discovered a second, smaller box within. However, the children were left unpacking a lot of boxes as they gradually became smaller and smaller.

One of them predicted what would be inside the tiniest box, saying, "It's going to be like a key or something." But they were left disappointed, as the children discovered a $1 note in a wooden box, proving that the whole ordeal was definitely harsh on them. The video has managed to receive over 44 million views on TikTok.

‘This was so evil’

Some people felt bad for the kids while others found the whole affair amusing, despite MrBeast giving a deadpan expression the entire time as the children were hurrying to open the surprise gift. A user commented, “This was so evil... would have just taken the $1 without the stress,” while another wrote, “The one time I actually wanna see mr beast give something good away he doesn’t.” “Imagine he just says "Double it and give it to the next person",” remarked one.

Apart from the criticisms, many were happy for Seo as he was planning to collaborate with MrBeast for a long time. A fan congratulated Seo, saying, “It finally happened. So happy for you dude. Big props to Jimmy for doin it for the people.” “Dude literally manifested this moment and we've all watched it happen. Anything is possible,” wrote another Seo fan appreciating the collab.
