LOS, ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Morena Baccarin, who co-starred with Ryan Reynolds in the 2016 film 'Deadpool,' recently spoke about her discomfort while filming intimate scenes with her on-screen partner. Baccarin portrayed the character of Vanessa, the girlfriend of Wade Wilson/Deadpool, and their romance was an important part of the film. Although the scenes were well received by the audience, Baccarin revealed that the filming was not a pleasant experience for her, especially a two-day scene with Ryan Reynolds.

'Deadpool' was known for its action-packed sequences and black humor. The film revolves around Reynolds' character, a cancer-stricken mercenary named Wade, who gains superpowers after undergoing an experimental treatment. However, he also ends up with disfigured skin, an unstable mind, and a twisted sense of humor. Despite the challenges Baccarin faced during filming, 'Deadpool' became a great success and was praised for its unique approach to the superhero genre. A third installment of the famous superhero series is being planned.

'It basically just smells like rubber the entire time'

In an interview, actress Morena Baccarin expressed her dislike for filming the explicit scenes in 'Deadpool.' The on-screen couple portrayed a range of festivities while engaging in sexual activity, including Christmas, Valentine's Day, and International Women's Day.

During a 2017 appearance on Conan O'Brien's show, Baccarin described the experience as "wonderful, the whole experience," except for the two days of sex scenes. She elaborated that the scenes were shot for a very long time because they represent a whole year of love, with different outfits for each vacation. Baccarin also revealed that many of the sex scenes were left on the cutting room floor, and she believed that what made it into the final cut was sufficient. She added that she was glad about what was taken out of the series. In addition to the sex scenes, the actor also had to deal with other difficulties. In a 2018 interview with People magazine, she mentioned that kissing co-star Ryan Reynolds was not ideal because of his costume. She humorously described the experience by saying, "I keep saying that kissing him in that mask is like kissing a giant latex condom. It basically just smells like rubber the entire time."

Ryan Reynolds was equally uncomfortable

In addition to Morena Baccarin, Ryan Reynolds also shared his experience of filming intimate scenes for 'Deadpool.' In a 2016 interview, Reynolds referred to the scenes as both funny and horrifying. He stated, "It's not as titillating as it is just sort of funny and horrifying at times. It was a year's worth of sex in one day. Which sounds a lot more romantic than it is, trust me." Reynolds' comment suggests that the experience of filming the scenes was far from romantic and was, in fact, quite challenging.
