What is Montana Yao's net worth? Malik Beasley's ex-wife and model blasts Larsa Pippen for breaking marriage
Montana Yao has been a name blazing on social media ever since her NBA star husband Malik Beasley was papped with none other than Larsa Pippen on a fun vacation outing. In the latest update to that scandal, Yao shut Pippen down after the latter claimed that when she and Beasley got together, the basketball player was already separated from Yao. Although still married, Beasley's estranged wife hit back at Pippen on social media, setting facts right about how the two were still together and very much not separated when photos of him and Pippen were brought to light. “This is 100% false,” she wrote via Twitter. “Continue to speak on my name and my relationship and we’re going to have issues. Receipts don’t lie. Let’s not go there. I think you’ve embarrassed yourself enough already.”

But with all this drama, it does make one curious — who is Yao outside her identity as Beasley's estranged wife, and how much is her net worth?
Yao, a former beauty pageant queen and an Instagram model, brags of a $1.4M net worth. Born in California on August 5, 1997, Yao graduated from Malibu High in 2015. She was Miss Malibu Teen USA 2016 and also soared to the top 10 in Miss California Teen USA 2016. With around 146k followers on Instagram, Yao is of Chinese, English, Irish and German descent. Yao met Beasley in 2018 and although it's uncertain when the couple said their "I do's", they welcomed their firstborn — a son called Makai — in March 2019. Her ties with basketball, however, date long before she became Mrs Beasley, as she's shared that she became a fan of the sport from her father, who was a Lakers fan.
Yao and Beasley's relationship has endured a brush with the law long before they were in the spotlight for cheating speculations. Before photos of Bealey and Pippen were seen vacationing together, in October 2020, the basketball player was charged with felony counts of violence and fifth-degree drug possession. But he wasn't the only one. Yao too faced the same counts after almost two pounds of marijuana was found at their joint residence on September 26. Incidentally enough, the discovery was made when police were over at their home for Beasley pulling an assault rifle on a family who had shown up at the rental property amid a routine “parade of homes” showcase in the area.
Ever since the Beasley-Pippen scandal took an ugly turn, Yao has been active on social media, calling out her soon to be ex-husband for abandoning his family. She even went on to share a diss track on the new couple, calling them a sloppy mess. The cheating scandal broke out after Beasley and Pippen were spotted holding hands in Miami on November 23. At the time, 23-year-old Yao had shared on Instagram, “Wow… I don’t even know this man… this is wild y’all I’m seeing it for the first time just like y’all. I’ve always and will forever remain true to who I am and GOD has never let me down. The truth always comes out one way or another."
As of now, Yao has currently filed for divorce. According to sources of E!, she did that "the day she saw the photos". The insider added: "Montana never cheated, and it’s not in her character. She’s not dating anybody. She’s a family person. She’s focusing on taking care of her son with her parents. They are quarantining together. Her son is her first priority.”
