LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A Redditor had the Internet cracking up after she posted a hilarious note her son left for her next to a "hard" sock that needed washing. The boy went out of his way to offer an explanation for why the sock was crusty, hoping to avoid a rather embarrassing confrontation.

Adolescence is a tricky phase in one's life. Looking back, many would attribute the time to their best years, but would also agree it can be a bizarre experience. The raging hormones in one's formative years can lead them to face unprecedented oddities and hurdles that need to be tackled in a certain way. At the same time, no one has enough life experience to make the best decisions during this phase.

'This sock is hard because of dried-up rainwater'

In this case, a woman offered an interesting insight into how her son plotted to avoid being confronted (or incriminate himself, depending on how you look at it) after one of his special socks needed washing. "A note from my son. This sock is hard because of dried-up rainwater, just have to clarify this is NOT! a cum sock”. Sounds legit," the user, u/RealisticIllusions82, posted alongside a photo of the note on Reddit's 'Am I The A**hole' forum. The snap showed the scribbled justification sheepishly placed next to the evidence.

'The thing is son, we are currently in a drought'

Fellow Redditors had a field day with the young man's explanation for the crusty garment, with some notably shocked by the ballsy move. "Hope mum doesn't find the c*m drawer," one quipped. "The thing is son, we are currently in a drought and it hasn’t rained in the last six months," another joked. "Why would you post your son's c*m sock on Reddit[?]" a comment added.

"I simply don't understand why the f**k anyone would ever use a sock. I thought it was something for teen films. Are people using them like a condom and putting their d**k in them? Tissue is so easy to access man," another offered. "As a parent, at what age should I teach my son to do laundry so I never ever have to think too much about c*m socks[?]" someone else wondered. "11-12," one response read, adding, "Just don't let them do your laundry, or guaranteed they'll just stuff all of your wool sweaters, bath towels, and their muddy jeans into a single load."

Yet another chimed in, "Things that he could have done instead of this, assuming this isn't fake: Do his own laundry; Wet the sock again before throwing it in the hamper; Handwash the single sock; Just not bothering to write the note at all because the difference between the two is incredibly obvious. Any of those options would be preferable to intentionally talking to my own parent about a c*m sock."
