Miley Cyrus recently made an appearance on the popular Barstool Sports' 'Call Her Daddy' podcast. In her discussion with host Alexandra Cooper, Cyrus spoke about a number of things including her difficult divorce from ex-husband, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth. The two met in 2009 on the sets of 'The Last Song' and dated on-off for years before tying the knot at Cyrus's Tennesse home in 2018.

Hemsworth filed for divorce in August 2019 and it's been a year since then. In her conversation with Cooper, Cyrus explained how she felt after her marriage came to an end. "I had a very public, very big breakup that was over a 10-year span of a relationship. It’s like a death when you lose a love that deep. It feels like a death," she said, according to a Yahoo report.

Continuing on the subject, she said, "Honestly, sometimes [death] even feels easier because [with a breakup] the person is still walking on the earth." In the same session, Cyrus touched upon a lot of other topics, her first sexual experience with a person from the opposite sex being one of them. While she didn't name Hemsworth in the chat, she said, "I didn't go all the way with a dude...I was 16," she said.

"I ended up marrying the guy, so that's pretty crazy," she said according to E! She also said that she lied to Hemsworth about him being the first and kept it a secret from him for 10 long years. "I lied and said he wasn't the first so I didn't feel like a loser," she revealed. After her breakup with Hemsworth, she went ahead to date 'The Hills: New Beginnings' star Kaitlynn Carter but the highly-publicized relationship didn't last longer than a month.

After Carter, Miley dated Australian singer-performer and her friend of 10 years, Cody Simpson. The couple has split after being together for 10 months, however, in an Instagram Live, Cyrus explained that she doesn't plan to not continue "hanging out or getting pizza" with Simpson.

Cyrus spoke to Cooper about her expectations from a future partner. She said, "I've been very experimental. I just really don’t have a type." Cyrus said that she's been with a lot of different kinds of "dudes and chicks" and what holds importance for her going forward in relationships is "someone has to bring something that is elevating my life." She also added that she expects that from all her relationships and not just her sexual relationships.
