Miley Cyrus shares adorable selfie with shirtless 'boyfriend' Cody Simpson after getting released from hospital
Miley Cyrus has been keeping her fans updated on her medical condition ever since she got hospitalized for tonsillitis on Monday, October 7. On Wednesday, October 9, she posted a selfie with her new "boyfriend", Cody Simpson, after getting discharged from the hospital.
The 26-year-old pop star was seen wrapping her arms around the topless Australian musician as she posed for the intimate selfie in front of a bathroom mirror before posting it on her Instagram Stories. "Recovering from surgery and send all the vibes," she captioned the picture.
The 22-year-old singer also posted a similar selfie and another picture of his new girlfriend on his social media page, which he captioned, "We are 4" and "She made it home… My sick girl is finally free," respectively.
Just two weeks after her breakup with her girlfriend of two months, Kaitlynn Carter, Miley confirmed Cody's status in her life from her hospital bed.
"BF coming to visit me @ the hospy [sic]," she wrote, and hours later, Cody posted a video where he was seen serenading the 'Slide Away' singer, lying beside her in the hospital room.
"Singing something I wrote for my golden thing while she’s sick in hospital #goldenthing," Cody captioned the video, where he was seen singing Spiral Staircase's 'More Today Than Yesterday'.
A source told E! News that Miley was just having fun with Cody and she was relieved that she did not have to be answerable to anyone regarding her love life.
"Miley is being Miley," the insider said. "She is having fun and that's all. She is not looking for anything serious. She has known Cody for a long time and is very comfortable with him. There are no strings attached and she is just going to see where each day takes her."
The source shared: "She wants to let loose and just be free. She doesn't take anything too seriously or think too much about what she's doing."
"She was in a relationship with Liam for a very long time and now is her time to do what she wants to do. She doesn't have to answer to anyone and is happy about that," the source added.
