Miley Cyrus fans slam NY Mag's 'nepo-baby' label, claim dad Billy Ray is a 'nepo-daddy'!
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A recent article published by the New York Magazine titled 'The Year of the Nepo Baby' caused quite a stir by shedding light on nepotism and how the the children of Hollywood stars used connections for their name and fame in Tinseltown. The article stated how different stars benefited from their parents' connections, including singer and actor Miley Cyrus, who is the daughter of famous country singer Billy Ray.
However, fans were quick to come to Miley's rescue with one writing, "I’m sorry but Miley Cyrus is too talented to be a nepo baby. Her dad is a nepo daddy." Another struck the tag "nepo" and wrote, "I can’t say that’s true mostly because he got the role in the show after she landed Hannah. His career was at a standstill. It might’ve been harder but she’d ultimately still be where she is." I can’t say that’s true mostly because he got the role in the show after she landed Hannah. His career was at a standstill. It might’ve been harder but she’d ultimately still be where she is, kinda like Selena who’s not a nepo baby but made quite the name for herself
