'That's what's going to happen': Mike Perry claims his punch can 'blow up' Logan Paul's head
CLEVELAND, OHIO: The alternative opponent for Dillon Danis, Mike Perry, has claimed he could "blow up" Logan Paul's head if he strikes him.
For Paul's forthcoming bout against Danis on October 14, UFC veteran Perry will serve as a backup fighter.
Following the event's press conference, Perry and Paul locked eyes, and now the bare-knuckle fighter has given a warning to his possible opponent.
Mike Perry warns Logan Paul
During an interview with MMA Fighting, Perry said, “I’m throwing nuclear bombs with 10-ounce gloves on. I hit your head, you know that little emoji with the head blowing up? That’s what’s going to happen.”
He continued, "A lot of the guys that I have fought, they have changed for the better. They became stronger but I’m sure I knock a couple screws loose."
He added, "I might knock a couple loose on Logan. I plan to stop him if I’m the one fighting him."
Perry went on to mention, “I just think they’ve had their eye on me for a little while as far as my fighting style, as far as my trash talk. I’ve said a couple of things about them I guess."
He continued, "It’s weird. It’s like they’re trying to keep my head open to preparing for a fight and preparing to fight on this date on this time but they can’t lock anything in."
He further said, "It can’t be guaranteed. I just have to stay ready like I always have.”
Mike Perry suspects Logan Paul will not pay him
During the interview, Perry also said that he believed Paul will not pay him as the backup fighter just like his brother, Jake, during his fight with Tommy Fury.
“You know Jake used my name as the backup fighter for him and Tommy… um, but then he didn’t use me, he didn’t pay me," Perry said,
"I believe that Logan is going to do those things because they flew me out – that wasn’t for nothing,” he added.
Perry said, “I keep it professional. I mean I am a professional. I’m not – I’m not green up on stage just asking for attention. It’s like I do this for real."
He concluded with, "And it’s when the ref says fight and s**t changes but until that point it’s like… it’s all speculation. It’s like I’m just standing around."
