Mike Perry: Backup fighter for Dillon Danis fears Logan Paul won't pay him, says 'I’m just standing around'
CLEVELAND, OHIO: Mike Perry, a backup fighter, believes Logan Paul won't pay him his fees for filling in for Dillon Danis. This comes after Perry claimed that Logan's brother Jake Paul didn't pay him when he was meant to fight Tommy Fury.
If Dillon Danis decides to withdraw from the bout at the last minute, BKFC fighter Mike Perry will fight against Logan Paul. Due to the frequency with which boxers sustain injuries and must withdraw from fight cards, this routinely happens in the ring.
Mike Perry warns Logan Paul ahead of his fight with Dillon Danis
Mike Perry has publicly expressed his concern that Logan Paul would choose to follow in the footsteps of his younger brother Jake Paul. In a video interview with MMA Fighting, Perry spoke candidly about his worries.
“You know Jake used my name as the backup fighter for him and Tommy… um, but then he didn’t use me, he didn’t pay me, and – and I believe that Logan is going to do those things because they flew me out – that wasn’t for nothing,” Mike Perry stated.
He further added, “I keep it professional. I mean I am a professional. I’m not – I’m not green up on stage just asking for attention. It’s like I do this for real. And it’s when the ref says fight and s**t changes but until that point, it’s like… It’s all speculation. It’s like I’m just standing around.”
When is Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis taking place?
The fight between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis will take place on October 14 in Manchester, England, and will be another collaboration between Misfits Boxing and DAZN
However, ahead of their bout, Danis and Paul initiated an online "war of words" when the former dragged Paul's fiancee Nina Agdal, and her past relationships.
Danis then shared images of Agdal with her ex-boyfriends and partners in an effort to rile Paul up before their match. The argument got increasingly nasty when Danis continued to take jabs at Paul's fiancee during a press conference.
During the press conference, as things got much heated, Paul pretended to hurl a bottle at Danis making him flinch. On the other hand, Danis also received a cease-and-desist notice from Paul for trolling his fiancee on social media.
However, only time can tell how the match between them will turn out to be.
