Drew Barrymore's daily life
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, she revealed how her daily life was like, speaking about how difficult it was to send her children to school, "If I nail that part of the day or if something's about to drop and I catch it, I'm like, 'It's going to be a good day." Speaking about the 'The Drew Barrymore Show,' she said, "I don't want to do a show where all I do is talk insider baseball. That isn't the growth I'm looking for. But if you would be willing to do a balance [of celebrity and other stories], I would really want to do the show."
Barrymore went on to reveal the difficulties she had while facing criticism and being on camera. She said, "Since I was 19, I've had to listen to criticism and studio heads and executives. I've always been at the table hearing all the hard stuff," adding, "I've built an ability to be objective and listen to it. There's just an amount that you're allowed to boohoo and take personally. And you can't bend to every piece of feedback." She concluded, "If you really love something, fight for it."
'I’ve never related to her more '
Her eager fans started commenting on her video almost immediately. A user said, "If Queen Drew’s room can look like this sometimes, then it’s okay if mine does too [heart emoji] thank you for your authenticity. This is a major struggle of mine and it’s good to see that even those we look up to deal with this as well." Another added, "When you realize celebrities (some of them) are regular people too. I love that her bathroom looks like a normal persons bathroom and not the size of a whole apartment."
Author Danielle Walker commented, "I just kept wondering what was beautifully being created in that chaos! That looks like a quality brainstorming session if I’ve ever seen one." Another added, "Drew is the “messy clean girl” and I’ve never related to her more." "Thank you for being a normal person. After seeing sooo much celebrity's home looking like show homes all the time. This video shows a normal looking home," added another user. A fan stated, "Thanks for this! I love this relatable slice of life moment. My place can get to that point. Especially because my adhd makes it hard for me to be tidy and also complete my Masters degree."
