Melanie Griffith defies her age in all-black ensemble on lunch outing but facial scar sparks concerns
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Melanie Griffith doesn’t age a day and she proved it right when she stepped out for a lunch date with a friend on Monday, February 06. Flaunting her ageless beauty, the ‘Lolita’ star was pictured after having lunch at San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood.
The 65-year-old Hollywood veteran looked radiant in an all-black ensemble, matching her black turtleneck with an elegant form-fitting pair of black pants and a gold-zippered leather jacket. She opted for a minimal make-up look while letting her long blonde locks spill over her shoulder. Her swoon-worthy look was accessorized with diamond studded earrings and a chic black purse slung over her shoulder. The 'Golden Globe' winner also carried a pair of black reflective sunglasses to shield her eyes from the sun. She completed her look with a pair of black flat shoes while leaving the exclusive Los Angeles club.

Has the scar on Melanie Griffith’s face healed?
The outing of the ‘Shining Through’ star came just days after she was spotted with a mysterious scar on the left side of her face. In early January, Griffith was enjoying a solitary drive when she flashed a major stitch mark, which appeared to be healing, near her left ear. However, the scar was not visible during her lunch outing, as per Daily Mail. Griffith hasn’t spoken about the scar publically but reports claimed that her close ones are concerned that her skin cancer may have returned.
"She's had some issues with skin cancer in the not-too-distant past, and people around her worry she had a recurrence that required more surgery,” a source close to Griffith told Radar Online. The star has had multiple surgeries since 2009 for skin cancers, and in 2018, she was even spotted with a bandage on her nose after getting a procedure to remove a dangerous growth. Griffith talked about the procedure as she shared a close-up of her face on her Instagram handle.
What did Melanie Griffith say about her skin cancer surgery?
“Bandaged again after having dermabrasion, the final step to fix the now removed basil cell skin cancer. If any of you have it, get it fixed. If you lay in the sun, and are exposed to lots of sun, be CAREFUL. Use sunscreen. Get checked out by your dermatologist. If you don’t have one, get one, or go to your nearest clinic and ask to be tested for it,” she captioned the post.
On the professional front, Griffith is attached to portray a pivotal role in her ex-husband Antonio Banderas' new directorial effort 'Akil,' which is in pre-production. She has worked sparingly over the past few years, most recently seen on the big screen in 2020s 'The High Note' and 2017's 'The Disaster Artist.' She has been taking it easy lately after slowing down the pace of her career by taking on fewer acting jobs.
