Is Melanie Griffith OK? Actress, 65, spotted with a scar on left side of her face during LA outing
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood veteran Melanie Griffith was spotted with a large new scar on the left side of her face during an outing on Friday, January 13, causing worry among her fans.
The 65-year-old actress was enjoying a solitary drive when she flashed a major stitch mark, which appeared to be healing, near her left ear. The scar was not seen on any of her latest outings as recent as January 11. The ‘Lolita’ star rocked a casual and comfortable ensemble for the fun outing. The mother-of-three wore a black high-neck top, which she complimented with a pair of thick black glasses, diamond studs and glossy red lipstick, according to Daily Mail. She completed her look with minimal make-up and left her golden blonde tresses open.

This is not the first time Griffith was seen with a scar on her face. Back in 2018, she was spotted multiple times with a scar or Band-Aid on her nose after getting dermabrasion to remove a cancerous cell. The actress even displayed her nose scar in an Instagram post. “Bandaged again after having dermabrasion, the final step to fix the now removed basil cell skin cancer,” Griffith wrote in the caption, adding, “If any of you have it, get it fixed. If you lay in the sun, and are exposed to lots of suns, be CAREFUL. Use sunscreen. Get checked out by your Dermatologist. If you don’t have one, get one, or go to your nearest clinic and ask to be tested for it.”

At that time, Griffit also spoke about the toll having skin cancer took on her and described it as “a scary thing” for a working actress. “But I realize I have to put a Band-Aid on it, and it’s fine. I just look like a dork,” the actress told Instyle magazine. “It’s a different deal when you’re older, I don’t mean it badly, and I don’t mean it like, ‘Oh, poor me,’ or anything like that. It’s just a different deal when you’re an older person. It’s different from being the hot stuff to being the old hot stuff,” she reportedly added.
Over the years, Griffith has been transparent about experiencing internet abuse over her appearance. "Most people are telling me I look horrible. The tweets I get are nasty," she said in 2012, according to Daily Mail. As for how she maintains her fit figure, she credited regular exercise with a trainer four times a week and hot yoga.
