'Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady' written by Melania Trump's former best friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff has some startling claims to make about the President's wife. The book will come out on September 1.

In the book, Wolkoff explores the apparently tense and rather hostile relationship between Melania and Ivanka. Melania allegedly wrote to Wolkoff in a text on Ivanka, "You know how they are snakes." Wolkoff also claims that Melania launched 'Operation Block Ivanka' to ensure the first daughter was out of camera frame for inauguration day when Donald Trump was sworn in as the POTUS. Also, Melania did not want Ivanka to attend the wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, so according to Wolkoff, she left it out of her schedule until Ivanka asked her to ask why it wasn't mentioned.

Apparently, Melania was livid when Ivanka and her staff wrote to her about co-hosting several events, which were traditionally hosted by her. Are you kidding me?' Melania reportedly asked Wolkoff when Ivanka wanted to collaborate for International Women’s Day. "Seriously? I’m not co-hosting,' Melania had said, according to Wolkoff.

Not just this, Ivanka wished to host the annual luncheon held for the governors' spouses. Melania had something to say about that as well. "We need to let her know that I know this is a First Lady event done every year…OMG. They just want to take credit for it," Melania had said.

Wolkoff also added, 'If Ivanka was dressed by a designer, Melania would cross them off her list.' She mentioned that if Melania heard Ivanka wore a Kaufman Franco dress for an event and Melania said "Forget it."

After Ivanka introduced Trump before his presidential nomination acceptance speech, she walked past Melania. Melania was seen smiling graciously at Ivanka before looking rather sour. The video of her expression is still doing the rounds on social media.

Wolkoff also talks about the firestorm that Melania created, when she wore a green jacket that said 'I really don’t care, do u?' on its back when she visited a detention center holding children who had been separated from their parents at the border. Dismissing the intense heat and backlash, Melania had said, "I’m driving liberals crazy. You know what? They deserve it."  Wolkoff added that Melania said people "connect stuff to my clothes" when she wears it "because I like it".

"They all went crazy about the zero-tolerance policy at the border. But they don’t know what’s going on. The kids I met were brought in by coyotes, the bad people who are trafficking, and that’s why the kids were put in shelters. They’re not with their parents, and it’s sad," she said on the children detained after crossing the US-Mexico border, at times with their families. "But the patrols told me the kids say, 'Wow, I get a bed? I will have a cabinet for my clothes?' It’s more than they have in their own country where they sleep on the floor. They are taking care nicely there," Melania had said.
