Former first lady Melania Trump is the underlying reason behind Ivanka and Donald's legendary daddy-daughter feud according to the news website Radar.  Melania Trump's former closest friend, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, claims the feud stretches back to the Trump administration's early days.

Melania and Ivanka not only dislike one other, with Ivanka's mother-in-law referring to Ivanka as a "snake." While there had been speculation of a feud between the former president's wife and his one-time White House special advisor, the real scope of the family's feud was not revealed until Friday, 20 June. During the first primetime session of lawmakers probing the January 6 Capitol disturbance, Ivanka claimed she "accepted" that former Attorney General Bill Barr had discovered no proof of fraud that might overturn the 2020 election, despite her father's frequent claims. Her father reprimanded her immediately. “Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results,” he stated on social media. He further added, “She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!).” RadarOnline.com reported that Ivanka Trump had been advised to stay away from her father and hadn't been seen with him in over 521 days.

“Even before the hearing, Ivanka had been iced by Melania, despite living almost around the corner from each other in Florida,” an insider revealed to Radar. "Both (Melania and Ivanka) were respectful of one another's turf" when the Trumps moved into the White House. It was alleged that they couldn't endure the sight of one other. "As First Lady, Melania felt Ivanka was trying to take her place," a source told Radar during the administration. Melania believed her step-daughter would do "what it takes" to accomplish what she desired, including undermining the first lady by "poaching" staff members and rendering her "irrelevant." According to Wolkoff, Melania was so enraged that she referred to Ivanka and her supporters as "snakes."

One of the disclosures in Melania Trump's biography is that an adviser to US President Donald Trump and his daughter, Ivanka Trump, wanted to rebrand the 'First Lady's Office' as the 'First Family's Office.' But according to Mary Jordan's book 'Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump', the former first lady was opposed to this. The Washington Post book portrayed the Trump family dynamic and the competition between Melania and Ivanka in the early days of Donald Trump's administration.

Jordan penned in the book, “With Melania away, Ivanka used the private theatre, with its plush red seats, and enjoyed other White House perks. Some said she treated the private residence as if it were her own home. Melania did not like it. When she and Barron finally moved in, she put an end to the ‘revolving door’ by enforcing firm boundaries.” White House spokeswoman Judd Deere has refuted the book's assertions, saying, "this is totally false.”  Furthermore, he accused the media of disseminating "untrue information" from anonymous sources without first consulting with the White House or the US President's counsel.
