Ivanka Trump had long 'CHECKED OUT': Trump dismisses daughter's testimony about 'accepting' election loss
The January 6th Committee is hard at work trying to pinpoint the source of the riots that the rocked the US Capitol in Jan 2021. The first hearing, which took place on June 9, Thursday, had chairman Rep Bennie Thompson declare to the world that Trump was sitting at the heart of this conspiracy and that he was responsible for the riot that broke out. “President Trump summoned the mob, assembled the mob, and let the flame of this attack," said Thompson. The whole issue stems from the fact that Trump believes that the 2020 elections were stolen from him by President Joe Biden.
This is a claim that Trump has thoroughly broadcasted. But during the first hearing of the January 6th Committee, Attorney General William Barr who gave a deposition and said he told Trump that his claim of voter fraud was sheer 'bulls**t'. Later on, Ivanka Trump may have made matters worse for her dad when she appeared to have sided with Barr's statement on the election loss. Ivanka said, "I respect Attorney General Barr. So I accepted what he was saying." However, this seems to have pissed off the former president a lot as he called out his second-oldest child on his social media platform 'Truth Social' and said, "Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results. She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!)"

This was not the only allegation that Trump was worried about. Rep Liz Cheney claimed that Trump was the one who accepted and promoted the horrific chant declaring, 'Mike Pence deserves it.' However, he was not having it and he continued to post on Truth Social. He said, "I NEVER said, or even thought of saying, ‘Hang Mike Pence.' This is either a made-up story by somebody looking to become a star or FAKE NEWS!”

The Jan 6 hearings focus according to Cheney is on the fact Trump knew he had lost the election, but despite that, he engaged in a "massive effort to spread false and fraudulent information." The panel called in Nick Quested, a British filmmaker who confirmed the active participation of the far-right group Proud Boys, who are even deemed a terrorist group by Canada. Proud Boys are believed to have swayed the crowd at the Capitol and were in full support of Trump. Quested further revealed that when he arrived at the venue for a peaceful protest, he didn't expect these many people.
Trump made several posts to the social media platform and claimed, "The so-called ‘Rush on the Capitol’ was not caused by me, It was caused by a Rigged and Stolen Election!” He said he felt like that community was "A one-sided, totally partisan, POLITICAL WITH HUNT!” He also claimed that the panel “refuses to play any of the many positive witnesses and statements, refuses to talk of the Election Fraud and Irregularities that took place on a massive scale,” before adding: “Our country is in such trouble!”
Thursday's hearing was marked by harrowing testimony from a Capitol Police officer Caroline Edwards who survived the attack and revelatory new details from former Trump officials and never before seen videos of the riots which captivated the audience, sometimes evoking tears and discomfort.
