Meghan 'sparked row' between Harry and David Beckham over suspicions Victoria was leaking stories: Source
Prince Harry allegedly confronted David Beckham over suspicions that the football star's wife Victoria Beckham was leaking stories about her friendship with Meghan Markle
According to sources who spoke to The Sun, the Duke of Sussex dealt with the rumors "head-on" and contacted David himself. "Harry was very polite, obviously it was a pretty awkward exchange and David was mortified," the source told The Sun.
The friends, however, decided to put the matter behind them after the former footballer "put Harry right". The source added: "Afterwards, they got things back on track, but it took a few months."
The Sun reports that the former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer. Victoria, bonded with Meghan over hair and beauty tips ahead of the former actress' move to London, following her engagement to Harry in 2017.
Victoria is believed to have befriended Meghan and given her a list of "exclusive salons" to visit, the publication reports.
As per a royal insider's account to the outlet, the former 'Suits' actress was "really pleased" with this newfound friendship and even credited Posh-Spice for helping her with her move across the Atlantic.
The source shared that the pair "hit it from the off" and were in "regular contact" in the early phase of Meghan and Harry's relationship.
Things allegedly went down south when, not long after Victoria shared these beauty secrets, some of them appeared in print—effectively making Meghan furious.
Even though it's all water under the bridge for Harry and David, it did take around a few months for the duo to go back to their former friendship which saw them working together to secure the 2012 London Olympic Games, and eventually, Harry asking David to be an ambassador for the Invictus Games in 2018.
The Beckhams were also present at the Sussex's royal wedding in May 2018. They were however noticeably absent from the exclusive 'evening do'.
Meghan has previously admitted to not being able to wear Victoria Beckham dresses, which she also loves, all because of the silhouette not suiting her 'short' torso.
She was however seen at the royal family's annual Christmas church service at Sandringham last year clad head-to-toe in the designer's collection.
The then-pregnant Duchess wore a navy wool-blend mini dress by Victoria which flattered her baby bump, even though in the aforementioned interview she had addressed her choice of outfits saying: "What I'm starting to learn is, even though things look amazing on the hanger, it doesn't mean they're going to look amazing on me. For example I love Victoria Beckham dresses, but I don't have the long torso to support that silhouette."
