Prince Harry and Meghan Markle second pregnancy: Piers Morgan called 'jerk' for branding couple's pic 'cheesy'
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are expecting their second child as the couple announced the news through a romantic photoshoot. While people around the world seemed to rejoice in the news announced by the 'former' royals, not everyone is happy.
British broadcaster and TV personality Piers Morgan did not hold back in branding the photograph as 'cheesy' and also slammed the couple for their attempt to gain more media attention. He perhaps mentioned this in the context of Meghan Markle's remarkable legal victory against British newspaper 'The Mail' who leaked excerpts of her private letter to her estranged father.

Why was Piers Morgan trolled?
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their second child together as the couple announced on Valentine's Day. The baby will be the younger sibling to the couple's first son Archie Harrison, who will turn two on May 6. Meghan and Harry announced the happy news with a stunning black-and-white photo that was taken remotely by their longtime photographer, Misan Harriman. One can see a smiling Harry looks lovingly at Meghan, who cradles her baby bump as she rests in his lap. Morgan, however, tweeted his distaste for the display of affection and slammed the photoshoot.
This is not the first time Morgan has expressed his dislike towards the Duchess of Sussex. He has been overtly critical of her especially after the couple's much-talked-about exit from the royal family. Placing the blame for the same entirely on Meghan, Morgan has previously called her 'vile' and 'a piece of work', who made Prince Harry 'ditch' the royal family.

The Internet, however, is ever unforgiving. Right after posting his tweet on February 14, Morgan had to face a barrage of trolls who did not take his jibe at the celebrity couple light-heartedly. From sharing his sleeping photos to asking him to 'just let it go ffs' - Twitterati did not let Morgan get away easy.
"Piers is just angry that this announcement overshadows his pregnancy announcement. Congratulations Piers!!," shared a jaded fan. "BREAKING: Piers Morgan tries to police how a happy- and expecting- couple lives their lives. People worry about when his obsession with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will stop," wrote another user. One user asked Morgan to 'stop being a jerk'. "He’s the Grandson of a Queen, the Son of a Future King, the brother of a future King, the son of one of the most beloved women in history. He’s married to a beautiful, American former actress. It’s newsworthy. Stop being a jerk!"
"Can you not just congratulate them and wish them luck and that they have a healthy baby boy or girl! Instead of going on like a prick!" asked another of the TV host.

It is now a matter of time to see how Morgan reacts to all the negative feedback. But, he is no newbie to being trolled, as his unwarranted attitude towards Meghan has always been a subject of controversy.
And one user reminded Morgan about how Prince Harry's mother Princess Diana was 'hounded to death' by a frenzied media. Now he and a section of Britishers are going on to 'vilify' Prince Harry and disrupt his chance at happiness."Here's a guy whose mother was hounded to her death by our tabloids. We watched as he walked behind her coffin. He goes on to eventually find happiness and now the same tabloids are villifying him and his wife because they've chosen to remove themselves from royal life," read the tweet.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's second pregnancy
The parents of one announced their second pregnancy after three years of marriage. Last year in July, Meghan suffered a miscarriage. In November 2020, she wrote a poignant article for The New York Times about her tragic miscarriage. "Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by few," she had famously penned about her personal loss.
Meghan had been at the helm of media scrutiny during her first pregnancy about which she spoke up later in 2019. Her remarks about the struggles of motherhood resonated with many new mothers across the world, who showered her with empathy and compassion.
On February 11, 2021, Meghan famously won a privacy lawsuit against Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Mail, for publishing parts of her very private letter to her father Thomas Markle, which she had written before her wedding to Prince Harry. The couple has been trying hard to reduce the media invasion into their lives, often complaining how intrusive and damaging it has been for the royal family.
