Meghan Markle brushes off criticism as she glams it up in Carolina Herrera and Jason Wu for Variety shoot

MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle recently sat down with Variety magazine, where she spoke about several things - from her husband Prince Harry and her children to the UK royal family. The interview has already created a lot of buzz but the Duchess of Sussex’s choice of clothes has also attracted a lot of attention.

As per reports, for the glamorous shoot, Meghan went for a strapless Carolina Herrera dress priced at $2,990, a Jason Wu tie-dye white and pink gown that is believed to have cost more than $5,000 as well as a Galvin’s Ushuaia satin halterneck dress worth $1,560. It has been said that the photoshoot happened at San Ysidro Ranch, which is in Montecito, where the Sussexes have been living for around two years after stepping down as senior working royals.

The front cover of the magazine only featured the mother-of-two’s face along with a little neck line. The image showed her wearing a single hoop gold necklace by Jennifer Fisher while her hair seemed to be tied in a bun. But the other pictures in different gowns showed her posing candidly and magnificently as photographer Ramona Rosales captured her.

A fan of Meghan tweeted, “MEGHAN!! 🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ GORGEOUS!!!!” The second fan wrote, “Can’t get enough of my sweet princess.” The third one said, “She's such a beauty 🌹🌹🌹💕🤩.” “So so beautiful,” the fourth one noted.

“She has my ❤️❤️‍🔥 Also, California has been so good to Meghan and Harry😍 #MeghanMarkle #Meghan×#Variety,” an admirer posted on Twitter. “I have one complain, I need to hear more from #MeghanMarkle 😊 Beautiful done & thank you @Variety for selecting Meghan, she deserves it. Thank you #BonnieHammer for you kindness to Meghan & for mentoring her & your support of women in general,” another one shared. “She is so pretty 😍 #MeghanMarkle @Variety give us the pictures in green dress please 🙏🏽,” a tweet appreciating her added.

Meanwhile, it has been said that while speaking with Variety, the former actress mentioned the late Queen Elizabeth II and said, “What’s so beautiful is to look at the legacy that his grandmother was able to leave on so many fronts. Certainly, in terms of female leadership, she is the most shining example of what that looks like. I feel deep gratitude to have been able to spend time with her and get to know her. It’s been a complicated time, but my husband, ever the optimist, said, ‘Now she’s reunited with her husband.’”

Meghan also mentioned her equation with Her Majesty, “I’ve reflected on that first official engagement that I had with her, how special that felt. I feel fortunate. And I continue to be proud to have had a nice warmth with the matriarch of the family,” before adding, “In big moments in life, you get a lot of perspective. It makes you wonder what you want to focus your energy on. Right now, we feel energized and excited about all of the things we’ve been building toward.”
