The Duchess of Sussex and former actress Meghan Markle completes another year of her eventful life. The former royal turns 41 on August 4. As wishes poured in from her family and friends, the members of the Royal Family also sent their best wishes to the Duchess of Sussex.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Prince of Wales, and the Duchess of Cornwall were among those to share messages. “Wishing a happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!” wrote the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in their post, while sharing a gorgeous picture of Meghan on their Instagram and Twitter handles.

Shortly after Prince William and Kate’s wishes, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall took to their social media handles to share a similar message and posted a dazzling picture of the mother-of-two. The image shared by both Royal couples captures Meghan at the Queen's Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral and does not feature her husband, Prince Harry. However, the queen is yet to share her birthday wishes for the Duchess of Sussex on the Royal Family's Twitter account.

The Queen’s service event was the only one on the Queen’s Jubilee itinerary that Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, publicly attended. This event was the first appearance of the Royal couple with The Firm since the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey in March 2020. The couple managed to make just one public appearance even after making their way from the US with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

At the event, the seating and timings of the arrival of the royal couples were carefully managed by William and Kate's palace aides so that the royal couple could avoid bumping into Harry and Meghan. There is now a long-standing feud between the two brothers and sister-in-laws after Harry accused his father Charles of cutting him off financially and Meghan claimed an unnamed royal commented on Archie's skin tone before he was born.

Meghan is celebrating her big day shortly after her close friend and favored author Omid Scobie announced she is writing yet another book, promising a "new chapter of the royal story" that will uncover many royal secrets. For the unaware, the journalist co-wrote the best-selling 'Finding Freedom'. The book talked about Meghan and Harry’s relationship and how they managed to step down from their royal duties and leave the United Kingdom.

On her 40th birthday last year, Meghan had launched a great initiative to help women make their way back to the workplace after getting brutally hit by the coronavirus pandemic. The initiative named 40x40 asked people to take out 40 minutes out of their hectic day and help women who lost their jobs during the pandemic.

“Because I’m turning 40 I’m asking 40 friends to donate 40 minutes of their time to help mentor a woman who is mobilizing back into the workforce,” the Duchess said in a video at the time. “Over 2m in the US alone and tens of millions around the world have lost their jobs due to Covid, and I think if we all do it and all commit 40 minutes to some sort of act of service we can create a ripple effect,” she added. It is not known if Meghan is planning any initiatives this year to celebrate her birthday.
