Meghan Markle has offered her support to a mom-led gun control movement by sending a personal correspondence letter and snacks to members of Moms Demand Action, a grassroots movement founded by activist Shannon Watts.

The letter from the Duchess of Sussex reads, "To each of you and your fearless leader, Shannon, a huge thank you for the work you are doing to keep our kids, families, and communities safe. Please know that while you may feel exhausted by your endless hours of dedication to this cause, I hope you feel energized in knowing that the work you're doing is vital and so deeply appreciated. As a mom, as a friend, thank you so much."

Support for enforcing stricter controls on gun ownership in the United States has picked up pace after the horrific Texas school shooting at Robb Elementary school. Meghan herself visited the Texas town of Uvalde after the deadly school shooting in May. The 18-year-old gunman and terrorist, Salvador Ramos, killed 19 children and two educators during the shooting which left the whole country in shock and disbelief.
