LONDON, UK: Meghan Markle reportedly left quite an impression on the royal family during her first Christmas celebration with them in 2017. The former actress gave a very unique gift to her then-future brother-in-law Prince William, which he liked a lot, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand reportedly claimed.

That year in November, Harry and Meghan had just announced their engagement from the Sunken Gardens of Kensington Palace. Soon after that, she was invited to be a part of the family’s festivities. Though she was excited, she was also in a fix about what she could give the senior royal members as presents, per NY Post.

In ‘Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family’ the two writers reportedly claimed, “Meghan's biggest challenge was finding the perfect novelty gifts to amuse her new extended family. At least one of her gifts was a huge hit – a spoon for William that had 'cereal killer' embossed on the shallow bowl end of the utensil.”

Christmas in the US for the Sussexes

However, in 2022, the Sussexes reportedly spent Christmas in the US amid the ongoing tension with the royals. After the Oprah Winfrey interview, the pair has reportedly only made things worse by making numerous allegations against the royal family.

Among the many allegations was Meghan saying that she wanted to take her life while being with the royal family. She reportedly said, “I was like, all of this will stop if I’m not here. And that was the scariest thing about it. It was such clear thinking. I wanted to go somewhere and get help but I wasn’t allowed to. They were concerned about how that would look for the institution.”

Harry, not far behind, reportedly claimed that “it was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father say things that just simply weren’t true, and my grandmother quietly sit there and sort of take it all in.”

Internet slams the Sussexes

Internet could not hold back as a user commented, “This Christmas, she just gave him nausea and a headache in that order.” The second user tweeted, “Old news! Leave these people alone!” The third user wrote, “Surprised it wasn’t an envelope containing his Christmas present from last year. Oh on, she only does that with wedding rings.” The fourth user stated, “Why are we still talking about this creature? Go away no one cares about MM and her narcissist behavior!”
