'Ruthless' Meghan Markle appears on Ellen DeGeneres Show despite Queen's health scare
A royal expert has warned that Meghan Markle's surprise interview with Ellen "will spark dread" in Buckingham Palace, especially after her Oprah Winfrey face-to-face tell-all, which unleased controversies galore back in March.
In a preview clip of her appearance on the Ellen Show — set to air on Thursday, November 18 — the Duchess of Sussex was seen laughing and joking candidly about life before joining the royal family with the host, who is also her friend. The former 'Suits' star recalled how she would go to auditions on the same Warner Bros lot as 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' set in Burbank, California. Meghan told Ellen in the clip: “I would park at Gate 3 and scoot on over, and what was so nice was that the security guards here would always say, ‘Break a leg, we hope you get it!’ So the drive in today was very different." Asked if the security guards recognized her, the mum-of-two replied: “I think they probably said it to everybody. That’s how nice they were.”
Meghan will be the guest of honor in the finale of the 19th season of 'the Ellen Show,' which was riddled with accusations from current and former staffers of bullying and racism on the "toxic" set. The show is set to go off air after this season.

Meghan's appearance on Ellen has been heavily criticized by royal biographer and award-winning journalist Angela Levin, who called the former royal "ruthless" and "desperate for publicity" for doing the interview despite the Queen's health scare. There is concern about how the 95-year-old monarch is doing after she canceled four public appearances in the span of a month, including this year's Remembrance Sunday service. Levin, author of the book 'Harry: A Biography of a Prince' published in 2018, also recalled Meghan's "extraordinarily bad timing" of the bombshell Oprah tell-all. "I think the palace dread everything she says because she can be so rude," the expert told the Sun. "The interview with Oprah was bad timing. Prince Harry's grandfather was ill. It is all about what is good to her. She's ruthless and she thinks of herself first."
She further picked apart the preview clip, which was 120 seconds long. "Meghan was acting that everything was wonderful and so funny and isn't she sweet and a bit shy. And it's not going to work really," she said. "She's trying to be a really natural ordinary girl. She's desperate for publicity, desperate for people to watch and see her. There's a saying, 'people who go to the opening of an envelope'... Meghan will interview anywhere people want her."
'Two bullies come together'
The critics of Meghan Markle have not taken well to her sit-down interview with Ellen. "Very surprised Meghan agreed to appear on the show given her whole #BeKind mantra - something that Ellen is apparently not..." one of them said, while another wrote, "Ellen Degeneres' 'toxic workplace' scandal exposed before Meghan Markle interview BOOM Two toxic people together what a great mix should be plenty of BS" A third commented, "Meghan's staff have said she is a bully. Ellen's staff have said she is a bully. It's nice for these two bullies to come together." The next remarked, "Meghan wouldn't be there if Ellen asked deep questions. It's a fun, fluffy show for people who want to be seen but not known."
Another added, "Meghan doing ANOTHER interview, this time with Ellen. Genuinely can't stand the woman, she loves the drama and I don't believe half of what she says - funnily enough, her book had to be changed for lies!" One more noted, "Meghan is manipulating the host Ellen Generes as she uses selective attention to carefully attend to what 'Identity' she wants to convey to the public. Uses her actor skills of persuasion to recreate more identities." A commenter tweeted, "Just one more thing she has Her Majesty the Queen to thank for even though she never will. Meghan Markle was never big enough to even meet Ellen let alone sit on her stage. Try thanking the Queen for once! Your lavish home/lifestyle, the title you desperately cling to…all her." A person reacted with, "Probably still complaining that joining a royal family isn't anything like a Disney film. Yawn."
