Despite reports of a feud having gotten worse between Meghan Markle and the rest of the royal family members because of an explosive tell-all, 'Finding Freedom,' that releases next week, the Firm decided to put on a united front when it comes to maintaining their public image and wished the former 'Suits' actress on her birthday on August 4.

As the Duchess of Sussex turned 39, the official royal family Instagram account posted a photograph of the Queen, 94, and Meghan on their first joint royal engagement two years ago in Cheshire in 2018 alongside the message: "Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday!" Although the post seemed nothing but cheerful, some of the top comments on the same were less so, as most people chose to take digs at Meghan for the array of lawsuits that she and her husband, Harry, have brought against the Brtish media in recent times.

"I hope Meghan does not complain to the court about this congratulation," one wrote, while others scathingly commented, "Who?" "Duchess?" and "Who is she?" Another user quipped, "being the bigger person even though she doesn’t deserve any of it." Someone else said, "No thanks, she manipulated Harry and destroyed the relationship between him and his brother! No wishes for her!"

The royal family's post was followed by Kate and William's Kensington Palace account and the Clarence House account, run by the household staff of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, making similar posts but with different photographs. A solo image of Meghan crouching down to speak to a British schoolgirl was shared on the occasion by William and Kate, while Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall chose one of the Duchess on her royal tour to New Zealand in the autumn of 2018.

Meanwhile, The Luminary Bakery and Camfed, two charitable causes close to Meghan's heart, announced they have teamed up to mark her birthday. The Luminary Bakery, shared a previously unseen snap of Meghan visiting their site, after the Duchess championed the charity in the September 2019 issue of Vogue. In the Instagram post, they wrote: "To celebrate, one of our Luminary grads, Monica who is based in London, will be joining Tisiyenji, in Zambia from Camfed to bake cakes 'together' from across the globe to honor The Duchess of Sussex’s birthday and celebrate ALL women through their beautiful bakes."

In excerpts of 'Finding Freedom' published by various outlets in the last few weeks, several members of the royal family, including the queen and William and Kate have been painted in a negative light. An insider revealed to Us Weekly that William is not happy with the content of the book written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.

While a spokesperson said that the book’s content was “based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps” and it has nothing to do with Harry and Meghan, William thinks otherwise. “William thinks the book is their calculated move of controlling the narrative and that they took advantage of their entertainment contacts so they’d be painted in a favorable light,” the source told Us Weekly.

Meanwhile, another source has told Us Weekly that Queen Elizabeth II wants William and Harry to “resolve their differences like grown adults”. The source said the monarch “is firmly of the opinion that this nonsense cannot and must not continue any longer. She wants the boys to sit and resolve their differences like grown adults.”
