Emmanuelle Vaugier, last seen in 'Supergirl' (Peggy Bishop), will be seen in Hallmark's 'Big Sky River' opposite Kavan Smith, who was last seen in the TV series 'When Calls The Heart' (in the role of Lee Coulter). Although they have starred together in the show 'Mistresses' -- where Smith played Ellis and Vaugier was seen as Niko -- but it was as guest appearances for a couple of episodes and not the lead roles.

Peter Benson, who is known for his acting gigs in shows and movies like 'Just One Kiss', 'Sweet Carolina', is helming the project. 

'Big Sky River', a country romance, revolves around Emanuelle Vaugier's character, Tara, who is going through a messy divorce, and ho decides to move to the place where she was the happiest. Her handsome neighbor, Boone (played by Kavan Smith), presents an unexpected twist. Information about the twist, whether the two fall in love and how the story progresses, is yet to be seen.

'Big Sky River' is set to release on Sunday, August 7, 2022, on Hallmark Channel at 8/9c. 

Who stars in 'Big Sky River'?

The starcast has Emanuelle Vaugier as Tara, and Kavan Smith as the handsome neighbor Boone. Hallmark is yet to release the rest of the cast. We get to see Cassidy Nugent and Lochlyn Munro, but the rest of the cast is yet to be revealed.

What is 'Big Sky River' all about?

As per the official synopsis of the film, "Tara (Emmanuelle Vaugier) needs to go back to Parable, Montana, the place that made her the happiest, in order to move forward after a messy divorce. Her handsome neighbor, Boone, (Kavan Smith) presents an unexpected twist."

'Big Sky River' is directed by Peter Benson from a script by JB White. The film is based on the book written by Linda Lael Miller.

Latest buzz around 'Big Sky River'

Emanuelle Vaugier recently retweeted an interview she had with naludamagazine.com where she expressed her thoughts on the movie. "Well, without giving much away… I get to combine my 2 favorite things. Acting, with my love for horses! For more, tune in on August 7th at 9 pm EST on Hallmark, and on Aug 12th on W Network in Canada."



 

"Kavan recently uploaded a picture on his Instagram with the caption, "BTS making of a movie poster".



 

Vaugier teased us with a very fun BTS picture of her and Smith laughing. She captioned the picture, "This will be you watching 'Big Sky River' in less than a month! Mark those calendars for August 7th at 9pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel!"
