'Meatball through a barbershop': Andrew Tate's prison poetry absolutely shredded by Internet
BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Andrew Tate was mercilessly mocked on social media after he claimed to have a "full head of hair" in a poem from prison. The embattled influencer's critics appear to be having a field day seeing him stripped of his luxuries.
Andrew, who boasts a following of millions across various social media platforms, is currently imprisoned with his brother Tristan Tate in Romania. On December 29, 2022, both the brothers along with two of their associates were arrested and put behind bars as part of a probe into human trafficking and rape allegations.

'I barely recognized myself'
Taking to Twitter, the former kickboxing champion poetically bemoaned that he was unrecognizable from his usual groomed self.
Saw my reflection today and I barely recognized myself
A long beard, a full head of hair, and the stresses of battle show on my face
But then I looked into my eyes and recognized myself completely
They cannot break me

However, unsympathetic trolls on social media couldn't help but mock Tate's misery, especially for claiming to have a "full head of hair." Since his arrest, the controversial internet sensation has been pictured multiple times sporting only thin tresses and bald patches -- after previously boasting that he was hairless by choice. One Reddit thread opened a discussion on "Andrew Tate's attempt at god-awful prison poetry."
Andrew's critics took the bait and unleashed a flurry of outrageous comparisons for his hair. "Like a lollypop rolled over a dirty carpet," one quipped about his thinning locks. "Like Cynthia from Rugrats," another added. "Like someone kicked a meatball through a barbershop," someone else joked. Further, someone mocked him and wrote, "Like someone peeled a hard-boiled egg then dropped it on the floor." "Jail has already broken him if he’s delusional enough to call that a full head of hair," another chimed in.
'They're trying to break me'
This is barely the first time Andrew has ranted about the rough conditions inside the Romanian jail and accused guards of treating him poorly. "Cockroaches, lice, and bed bugs are my only friends at night," the influencer wrote in a January 24 email to his followers. "They are trying to break me," he added, apparently referring to the officials in the Romanian jail. Moreover, on February 25 he tweeted, "I was awoken last night by an icy chill and identified a ghost in my prison cell. He was terrified and begged me not to annihilate him I sent him back to hell with a message for the demons I am always ready."

Thrown inside a cell without light.
Cockroaches, lice, and bed bugs are my only friends at night.
When the guards bring me to and from the courtroom, I stay absolutely respectful.
They try to pour hatred into my heart.

Andrew, his brother, and two other associates are jailed in Romania until at least the end of March. Under Romanian law, a judge can extend their incarceration in 30-day increments at the request of prosecutors, but no longer than 180 days. The Romanian court prosecution accused the influencer of creating “an organized crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialized websites for a cost,” according to the Daily Mail.
