Matt LeBlanc and Aurora Mulligan's relationship ended LONG BEFORE split announcement
'Friends' star Matt LeBlanc and 'Top Gear' producer Aurora Mulligan's relationship came to a mutual end in 2020, long before their split announcement recently, as per reports. The duo had a six-year-long relationship before calling it splits. "They haven't been together in over a year," a spokesperson told Daily Mail.
LeBlanc met Mulligan in 2016 when he was brought in on a £2-million deal to host 'Top Gear', the show she was a producer on. Three years later, he left the show and stated that though his "experience on Top Gear has been great fun" and he "thoroughly enjoyed working with the whole team," the time, commitment, and extensive travel required to host the show "takes me away from my family and friends more than I'm comfortable with."

"Matt and Aurora's relationship has run its course. It's all over. It's a huge shame and Matt has taken the news particularly hard, as anyone would. He and Aurora fell for each on Top Gear and although there was a pretty big age gap they were a really great match. But when he announced he was leaving Top Gear and took on other work, it was hard for them. He's mainly based out of LA and was travelling a lot while Aurora was working in the UK," a source told The Sun.
LeBlanc, 54, and Mulligan, 36, were first romantically linked in June 2016 when onlookers claimed that the two looked "besotted" at the Hickstead Derby in West Sussex. They made their red carpet debut as a couple in 2017 at the Tribeca Film Festival, New York, and later attended the UK launch of Top Gears 25th series together in 2018. LeBlanc used to call her "honey" on social media while Mulligan joked and said he was an "old geezer".
Born in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, Mulligan studied politics, political science, and government at Liverpool University before launching a career in television production. She joined BBC in July 2015 as an assistant producer on 'Top Gear'.
The 54-year-old 'Friends' star was spotted looking downcast at a car body shop in Sherman Oaks, a few days ago after the split announcement. "He wore baggy pants and a motoring T-shirt as he kept his head down with shades. Matt also wore a baseball cap and trainers as he made a rare public appearance," reported Mirror.
LeBlanc was previously married to British model Melissa McKnight and they have a daughter named Marina. Post divorce, he dated American actress Andrea Anders from 2006 to 2015.
