Beyonce's relationship with her father
Beyonce was managed, coached, and trained by her father during a significant portion of her early career. However, approximately 10 years ago, their professional relationship abruptly ended due to unfavorable rumors surrounding Mathew's personal conduct. Reports suggest that Beyonce ended her professional relationship with her father as her manager after securing a deal with Jay-Z's 'Live Nation' in 2011.
This decision came amidst allegations that Mathew had been involved in embezzling funds from Beyonce's 'I Am... World Tour', a highly successful tour that took place from 2009 to 2010 and generated a substantial revenue of $143 million. Mathew, however, claimed that 'Live Nation' had fabricated the allegations and further alleged that the company had orchestrated a smear campaign against him in order to gain complete control over Beyonce's career, effectively sidelining his involvement.
In the past decade, Beyonce's relationship with her father has become strained due to the events that transpired. It is widely known that the once-close bond between the 'Single Ladies' singer and her father has significantly deteriorated. According to court documents and a subsequent audit conducted by Beyonce's legal team, it was revealed that Mathew had "pilfered her [Beyonce's] funds while he was her manager," Rolling Stone reported in 2011.
The Renaissance Tour may generate $2.4B in revenue
The 'Halo' hitmaker is currently on her highly successful Renaissance World Tour, which is drawing massive crowds and selling out stadiums. According to Forbes, the tour has the potential to generate an incredible $2.4 billion in revenue, surpassing Taylor Swift's 'Eras' Tour by approximately $500 million. The tour's immense revenue potential can be attributed to various factors, including Beyonce's significant hiatus from touring prior to this.
