'Iconic': Mary J Blige DAZZLES in metallic outfit at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show
Mary J Blige dazzled all the viewers with her iconic outfit and talent as she took the stage during the highly-anticipated halftime show of the Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in California.
This is the first time that the Grammy-winning artist headlined the Super Bowl halftime show. She performed amazingly alongside fellow hip hop heavyweights Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and 50 Cent. The 'Queen' of Hip Hop and Soul performed her iconic hits 'Family Affair' and 'No More Drama' during the show.

To commemorate her first Super Bowl moment, Blige served up some serious style in a head-to-toe silver metallic look. She wore a long-sleeve cheetah print, white and silver embellished outfit with cut-outs till the center, and a turtleneck.
Blige went all out on her accessory as she accessorized her glittery attire with a matching cowgirl hat, gloves, and large white diamond hoop earrings. Her long sensual blond wavy hair blew in the wind as she hit high notes at the stadium.
As for footwear, the R&B singer slipped into her favorite shoe silhouette, a pair of thigh-high boots. The over-the-knee boots had a pointed-toe and a short chunky stacked heel. In a cover story with Elle in February 2022, the singer talked about her stage outfits and she personally recommended thigh-high boots as the most stylish and most comfortable footwear.
Blige's dazzling look was designed by Peter Dundas. Dundas worked closely with Blige and her stylist Jason Rembert to create the custom look which was a white and silver, mirror-embellished crop top with cutouts and matching shorts paired with thigh-high boots. The fashion designer has previously worked with Shakira for her halftime show performance in 2020 and with Jennifer Lopez, dressing the singer in an array of Swarovski crystal-embellished looks.
The 2022 Super Bowl took place between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, February 13, at SoFi Stadium in California. At the game’s start, country musician Mickey Guyton sang the National Anthem, while Jhene Aiko covered 'America the Beautiful'. The 2022 halftime show featured a variety of performers, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. One of the game’s most fun and unique elements were its commercials, many of which have become iconic for memorable content and celebrity cameos. Some of this years’ included Arnold Schwarzenegger, Salma Hayek, Lindsay Lohan, Kevin Hart, and Trevor Noah in clips for BMW, Planet Fitness, Sam’s Club, and Uber Eats.
