Spoilers ahead for ‘Secret Invasion’ Episode 3

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Marvel’s ‘Secret Invasion’ has reached its halfway mark with the third episode titled ‘Betrayed’ currently streaming on Disney+ and other associated platforms. Fury is grinding hard for support and Gravik is slowly progressing with his plan of wiping out humanity and making Earth a home for the Skrulls. After exhausting all options and escaping Colonel James Rhodes in the previous episode, Fury rushes to his wife Priscilla, who is a Skrull. Fury met her back in 1998 and the couple have since been together.

When Priscilla offers no evidence or information about Gravik, Fury resorts to the only one who might still help him - Talos. However, even Talos, the former General of the Skrulls, was angry with Fury after the latter accused and reprimanded him of withholding information regarding the mammoth number of Skrulls on Earth. They eventually bury the hatchet and make their way to foil Gravk’s plan of bombing a UN delegate, which could escalate matters and turn into World War III. Talos and Fury are aided by a source deep in the network of Gravik’s army. This source manages to retrieve the code to stop the attack and send it to Talos and Fury, but Gravik finds out. He catches G'iah leaving the compound and shoots her.

Is G’iah dead?

Since the beginning of the series, G’iah’s loyalties have swung sharply towards her father, Talos. Despite siding with Gravik and the Skrull rebel alliance against humans, G’iah has listened to her father's warnings and has now suffered because of it. She informed the police about Brogan and Gravik in the second episode and now, she delivered the code to Talos that helped stop an imminent attack. However, this time Gravik outsmarted her.

As G’iah was running away from the compound, Gravik apprehended her at the gate and questioned her. When failed to provide any answers, Gravik told her that he used the plan to attack the UN delegation to bring out the informant or traitor in his alliance. Now, he was successful in his endeavor as she was caught. Before she could run or make her case, Gravik shoots her and she falls to the ground as she shape shifts to her Skrull form.

Is Priscilla about to betray Nick Fury?

After Fury returned to his wife at the beginning of the episode, she questioned his voluntary absence from Earth and her life. She was furious when Fury questioned her loyalty and later received a call which she answered in a way that raises suspicions in Fury’s mind. When she doesn’t disclose the nature of the call, Fury eyes her phone. Towards the end, Priscilla goes to a vault and retrieves a gun from a safe. She receives another call and asks to speak to Gravik. Is Nick Fury about to be betrayed by his wife?

Marvel's ‘Secret Invasion’ airs every Wednesday on Disney+.
