LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lifestyle guru Martha Stewart, 81, has finally broken her silence on a meme that suggested that she could be Pete Davidson's next high-profile romantic interest. The ‘Saturday Night Live’ alum recently broke up with Kim Kardashian after being together for nine months.

The meme which became viral shows Stewart and Davidson, 28, holding hands. The text on the meme says, "We should’ve seen this coming."

The photograph, in which Pete's ex Kim is also present, was taken at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner where Stewart was a guest of The Daily Mail. The picture was turned into a meme by some and it soon caught the imagination of the Internet. Given Pete's penchant for dating high-profile celebrity women, Martha became a popular guess as to his next love interest, despite the more than 50-year age gap between them.

However, when the Daily Mail caught up with Stewart as she was gearing up to open her first ever restaurant ‘Bedford’ in Las Vegas, she laughed at the speculation. She said, “Pete Davidson is like the son I never had.” Furthermore, she said she shares a good rapport with Davidson. “He is a charming boy who is finding his way,” she added.

She also gave her global fans a surprising reveal that they might be able to hear a lot more from the ‘King of Staten Island’ star soon. “I've invited him to come on my podcast and I look forward to hearing what he has to say,” she said.

This means that global fans might get to know the actor’s side of the story after his break up with Kim.

Prior to dating the reality TV star and beauty mogul, Davidson was briefly engaged to Ariana Grande, and had flings with Kate Beckinsale, Phoebe Dynevor, Margaret Qualley, Kaia Gerber and Cazzie David, among others. His separation from Kim came after the two reportedly drifted apart gradually due to their at-odds schedules.
