What is Marjorie Taylor Greene's net worth? Voted-out politician donated 'million dollars' to her own campaign
Marjorie Taylor Greene, a politician and businesswoman, recently landed in hot water when the House of Representatives voted to remove her from committee roles on February 4. This was done after a past statement she had made recently came back to haunt her where, according to reports, she had made "calls to violence against members of Congress".
Greene, who had graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia, also once owned a commercial construction company with her husband. It has also been revealed that earlier she had started and then sold a CrossFit gym.
Besides her recent drama, Greene has also drawn attention to herself for supporting conspiracy theories such as the QAnon theory. Before she had participated in office, the politician had taken to social media to post videos on conspiracy theories, and in some cases called for violence. While she has been voted out as of now, she has yet to push out a formal apology for things that she has said — she has instead, blamed the media for the promotion of lies.

Among the people who voted her out recently were 11 Republican Reps namely Adam Kinzinger, Brian Fitzpatrick, John Katko, Nicole Malliotakis, Fred Upton, Carlos A Giménez, Chris Jacobs, Young Kim, Maria Elvira Salazar, Chris Smith and Mario Diaz-Balart.
All this new information as of February is quite ironic, considering on January 30, Greene had revealed that she had raised a lump sum of money after many called for her to be expelled. So is income not an issue for the politician?
What is Marjorie Taylor Greene's net worth?
According to a business podcast, Greene had "committed full time" to CrossFit and had opened a gym back in 2013. The podcast described her as "Marjorie Greene from CrossFit Passion in Alpharetta." The New Yorker had the owner of the CrossFit gym tell them "she had a lot of time and a lot of money."
According to an AJC article on January 30, Greene had said that although many were calling for her to be expelled or resigned, the "criticism has only strengthened her base and padded her campaign account" — she had apparently raised $1.6 million.
The New Yorker revealed in a 2020 article that Greene "had money" referring to her father, Robert Taylor, who is the founder of Taylor Commercial. Robert sold the construction company to his daughter and her husband in 2002. Greene has said the company has “managed a quarter of a billion dollars in construction projects”. Greene was the CFO of the company from 2007-2011. She has also given "roughly a million dollars" to her own campaign.
According to reports, Greene was born in Milledgeville, Georgia, and currently lives in Alpharetta, Georgia, according to FEC filings. She has been married to Perry Greene since 1995 and the couple shares three children — Lauren, Taylor and Derek — together.
While we may not know Greene's exact net worth, we would assume it's a comfortable sum considering in 2019, Rome News-Tribune reported, "A wealthy Alpharetta businesswoman is considering a run for the 14th Congressional District seat."
