Marilyn Manson's ex Dita Von Teese slammed for saying he didn't abuse her: 'Did victims bring it upon themselves?'
Dita Von Teese, the former wife of Marilyn Manson, has finally spoken about the whole controversy regarding him. Von Teese, while addressing the sexual and emotional abuse allegations against the singer, wrote on her Instagram page, “I have been processing the news that broke Monday regarding Marilyn Manson. To those who have expressed your concerns of my well-being, I appreciate your kindness. Please know that the details made public do not match my personal experience during our 7 years together as a couple.”
The 48-year-old burlesque dancer added, “Had they, I would not have married him in December 2005. I left 12 months later due to infidelity and drug abuse. Abuse of any kind has no place in any relationship. I urge those of you who have incurred abuse to take steps to heal and the strength to fully realize yourself. This is my sole statement on this matter. Thank you for respecting this request.”

I'm glad you never experienced these things from him. And I'm glad that you have also acknowledged that this may not be the case for others. This has been a difficult time for everyone to process, no less yourself. You have said your piece & you don't owe any more to anyone else. All the very best to you.”

Condemned abuse and supported abuse sufferers, yet shortly said that she did not share ERW's experience, thanking everyone for their concern.” Another one wrote, “Been a huge fan of Dita Von Teese since I basically wrote my dissertation on her... But to suggest abuse can be 'incurred' on her IG statement about Mason feels so horribly wrong and damaging.”

“Yes! And to use the word ‘incur’, like they brought it on themselves? Soon after they split she gave interviews where she described his abuse behaviour - throwing things at her in middle of the night & breaking all the windows. Disappointing!” the third user expressed while the fourth noted, “dita von teese releasing a statement abt merilyn manson saying she never experienced his abuse but also married a man who owned nazi memorabilia and gifted her eva brauns purse.”

The controversy and accusations against Manson started on Monday, February 1, when Evan Rachel Wood took to Instagram and alleged that the 52-year-old “started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years." After Wood, photographer Ashley Walters, model Sarah McNeilly, an artist who identified herself only as Gabriella, and a student named Ashley Morgan came out with similar accusations.
Later, Manson issued a statement on his Instagram account by writing, “Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth."
