Mariah Carey's $5.6M Atlanta mansion burgled while singer was holidaying with family
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Famous singer Mariah Carey's Atlanta home was broken into and burgled in July while she was on vacation in Italy. According to Page Six, Carey was on a trek that included Italy and the Hamptons on July 27, 2022, with her boyfriend Bryan Tanaka and children, when the break-in took place in Atlanta.
Carey purchased the nine-bedroom and 13-bathroom home through a trust in November 2021 for $5.65 million. The mansion also features a playground, pool, and tennis court. Atlanta Police confirmed the break-in and said, “This is still an open investigation, the information may be limited. It is unknown what was taken."

Carey bought this property in the name of a trust which was used while purchasing other Carey properties and business interests. According to Page Six, Carey has shared various pictures of herself with the family all over her social media handles, it could have alerted the thieves that the house would be empty. She also posted hanging out in Capri and frolicking in the sea on her official Instagram handle.
The family was seen enjoying their time together on a yacht during their luxurious getaway. Alongside a selfie she posted on July 16, she wrote, "Taking a picture before the humidity foils my hair here in Capri."
On July 25, she took to Instagram with a post from the Hamptons hamlet of Water Mill, as she promoted Nestseekers which is a real estate company for helping her with the best stay in the city.
Carey is well known for her lavish lifestyle. In 2017, she hit the headlines after she showed off her Tribeca closet to Vogue, with her Louboutins and Birkin bags, as well as Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. Page Six also reported that the singer spent more than six figures for her two-week stay.
The 'All I want for Christmas' singer on Thursday, August 11 announced that she would be taking part in the Global Citizen Festival, a free benefit concert in Central Park in New York that will also feature Metallica and The Jonas Brothers. She further captioned the post, "NEW YORK, mark your calendars!
