How did Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley first meet?
According to the Daily Mail, Margot and Tom have been happily married since 2016 after first crossing paths in 2013 on the set of the World War II drama 'Suite Française' in France. Tom was reportedly the assistant director for the movie, and Margot recalled looking "hideous" in the film. "I have been so fortunate to have some amazing opportunities," she told the Daily Mirror. "I did Wolf of Wall Street and then got to do something completely the opposite in Suite Française – I was a peasant farm girl and looked hideous but I met my husband on the job, so it was OK."

The 'Suicide Squad' star said she felt "very lucky" because of the bond she shares with her husband. "We started our production company with our best friends and it continues to be a wonderful group dynamic. We all really work well together. I feel very lucky," she added.
The blonde beauty admitted in a 2018 interview with Elle that she and Tom initially decided to keep their romance to themselves. "We kept it a secret. Because we weren't really taking it seriously. 'Oh, whatever, we're just mates, we're just mates.' And then… everyone found out," she recalled at the time. Speaking of her friends finding out about the relationship, she added, "It was dramatic. I'm not going into the details, but s**t hit the fan. Our house turned into The Jerry Springer Show for a moment there. But then the dust settled, and it was all good."
