She is the founder, owner, and designer of the lifestyle brand — Macbeth Collection. A fashion designer and self-made entrepreneur, Josephs started out her career as a dress designer with other labels, before launching her very own brand. Josephs' money troubles
Unknown to many, 53-year-old Josephs is a graduate of New York's Fashion Institute of Technology, where she pursued a degree in fashion designing. After a successful stint as a fashion entrepreneur, Josephs, the wife of Joe Benigno, reported financial troubles in 2019.
Back then, she was sued for $200,000 by two former friends who claimed that she had not paid back a loan she took and owed them money. Josephs also owed backed taxes in a substantial amount.
The company Vineyard Vines had sued Josephs for $12 million for trademark infringement on their logo design — accusing that Josephs copied their logo for her own company. Josephs declared bankruptcy within her business after that. Her house was also in foreclosure in 2018.
"I settled for around $300,000 because I could not afford to go to trial. I filed for bankruptcy in my business. They put a lien on my property. I’m up to my eyeballs in legal bills," Josephs had revealed during an episode of RHONJ.
