Back in February 2021, Carano received backlash from her followers on social media as a result of the several now-deleted provocative posts on her Instagram Story. The 40-year-old star had made some late-night posts on her story on February 9, 2021, one of which linked the current political climate to Nazi Germany, as per Variety. Her controversial posts took a major hit on her career.

As a result of Carano's return film's $804 domestic gross, the actress received backlash on social media for her theatrical performance, with one user claiming that she "didn't bring much to the role."
