'Fire Gina Carano' trends as The Mandalorian's actor slams Dems, mocks need to wear mask: 'New level of insanity'

Carano tweeted: 'Democratic Government Leaders now recommends we all wear blindfolds along with masks so we can’t see what’s really going on'

Actress Gina Carano, popularly recognized for essaying Cara Dune in the Disney+ series ‘The Mandalorian’, seems to have landed in trouble regarding a recent tweet of hers. She tweeted a post which had the words, “Democratic Government Leaders now recommends we all wear blindfolds along with masks so we can’t see what’s really going on." It is not clear exactly who or what she was hinting at.

This isn’t the first time she was caught in a controversy due to her tweets. In August this year, as reported by MEAWW, Carano tweeted, “In my experience, screaming at someone that they are a racist when they are indeed NOT a racist & any post and/or research you do will show you those exact facts. Then I’m sorry, these people are not 'educators'... they are cowards and bullies.” This came after the bandwagon of trolls got behind her and called her racist for a black and white photo she posted earlier showing a collective Nazi Salute, where one man isn't saluting. That time as well, while some social media users supported her, a few labeled her "racist".

The actor's recent tweet also caught the attention of social media users as  #FireGinaCarano started trending. Some suggested that Carano should be replaced in the popular show ‘The Mandalorian’. A user tweeted, “#fireginacarano and give us more frog lady, i want this domestic love story.” Another opined, “the audacity of hiring a white woman who has blatantly made it obvious she doesn’t believe in racism to work alongside black men and a latino man is a f**king insult and mocking poc at this point. fix this. #FireGinaCarano.” A user commented, ““we must unite and speak out” okay @Disney @disneyplus @DisneyStudios @themandalorian now is your time to speak out then, #fireginacarano actions speak louder than words.”

Another shared, “It is not about political differences. Gina’s stance on certain matters is for her to decide, but spewing hate for absolutely no reason is not at all in line with the morals and beliefs of either the Star Wars or Disney brands. change is more than necessary.” However, this very tweet was deleted later. A user accused, “#FireGinaCarano not only has she mocked trans people, but continues to act like the pandemic isn’t real/isn’t hurting thousands, and openly doesn’t support BLM. oh did I mention she supports trump?” Another wrote: “On a serious note, Disney needs to f**king do something about this. Gina Carano needs to walk away from The Mandalorian.There’s no place for people like her in the Star Wars community.”

A user said, “#FireGinaCarano because her ideals are the complete opposite of what Star Wars stands for and GIVE ME MORE FROG COUPLE.” Another questioned, “#FireGinaCarano isn't she the one who literally mocked people for having pronouns in their bio when everyone literally has pronouns because that's how you're identified? Even if you're a cishet, you still have pronouns, it's what you preferred to be called, is that f**king hard?” A user wrote: “Actions should have consequences. U can't just turn a blind eye on all the hatred & bulls**t she is spewing. U can't discard her racism, bigotry & transphobia. Anyway, Bo-Katan is better than Cara Dune.” "I really hope they do #fireginacarano because her tweets have always been off the wall, but this is a new level of insanity. Her tweets are in direct contradiction to the values LucasFilm says they support, especially when it comes to addressing social issues. Please, fire her," read another tweet.
