MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Seems like Jessica Chastain loves to keep herself warm with a coffee and a puffer coat. On the afternoon of April 5, Jessica Chastain was seen leaving the house to grab some coffee in New York City.

The 46-year-old actress was seen going solo on a coffee run around Midtown Manhattan. The Broadway revival of Henrik Ibsen's ‘A Doll's House’, which debuted in early March, has been starring the redheaded actress.

After years of delays because of COVID-19, the play is now playing at the Hudson Theatre for 16 weeks and is scheduled to end on June 10. On April 5, Chastain was sighted alone while her 41-year-old spouse, Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, was absent from the scene.

Chastain was spotted wearing a face mask dangling from her chin and a black puffer coat over a black top. She carried a little tote bag in one hand and a Starbucks coffee cup in the other while sporting orange-rimmed sunglasses. During her coffee run, the actress also donned a black stretch skirt and finished her ensemble with black boots.

A brief about Henrik’s play

‘A Doll House’ by Henrik Ibsen had its world premiere in 1879 at Copenhagen, Denmark's Royal Theatre. The play helped revolutionize drama on stage and ushered in a brand-new era for the drama genre. The play's first presentation was highly surprising, and the tale centers on a housewife called ‘Nora Helmer’ who decides to leave her family.

The new version, written by playwright Amy Herzog and directed by Jamie Lloyd, gives the narrative a contemporary spin. In 1997, Janet McTeer and Owen Teale, who both received Tony Awards for their performances, starred in the play's most recent revival.

Additionally, it has received Tony Awards for Anthony Page's best play directing and best play revival. Arian Moayed, Michael Patrick Thornton, and Okieriete Onaodowan co-star with Chastain as the play's lead actors.

A series of projects for Jessica

After making her Broadway debut in the 2012 revival of The Heiress, the Oscar-winning actress makes her theatrical debut once more with the revival. The actress is fresh off of her role as Tammy Wynette, the televangelist George Jones' wife, in the miniseries George & Tammy.

Some of her projects, including Mothers' Instinct starring Anne Hathaway and Josh Charles, are now in post-production. Together with Peter Sarsgaard, Merrit Wever, Josh Charles, and Elsie Fisher, Chastain also starred in the film ‘Memory’.

Along with Shea Whigham, Michael Stuhlbarg, Bobby Cannavale, and Ellen Burstyn, the actress also stars in the audio series ‘The Space Inside’. Jessica is now producing ‘The Savan’ which centers on a top-secret investigator who infiltrates online hate groups in order to bring down the nation's most dangerous males. In addition, Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal have been cast in the movie ‘The Division’, which is based on the well-known namesake computer game.
